Roadster, D folding top to ws frame seal quality

Over on the old site, Ken D. has summarized responses about poor fit of the top seal to the frame, which I with long experience, concur.

Does anyone know who the manufacturer (s if more than one) might be, and what can be done to change the material of manufacture? I had rather pay twice as much for a seal that fits at least reasonably well, as have to deal with what is available. Not only is it time consuming, windshields do break if the seal is off......
