Screwdriver paint removal

#1 Post by Daryl Bruhl »

Own a 1963 super 90 and it looks like the wood screwdrivers came blonde, natural wood color. Has anyone tried to use paint stripper to remove the red color off the Sierra Madre repo screwdrivers to get a blonde finish? They offer blonde hub cap puller but no blonde screwdrivers. Currently have VW Felo flip and early VW flat duck bill black round handle. Are Sierra Madre offerings the one to get?
Thanks in advance and KTF SoCal

I use a soda blaster for paint removal, it is usually very easy on the base materials. I also find it does an excellent job of cleaning spark plugs.

If you have a Harbor Freight near you they carry the blaster and the media.
