it did not look like this when I first took the car over. .. it was a bit of love and much sanding with some very fine sandpaper and about 8 coats of varathane.. look great to this day though.
That looks like an AMCO shift knob.

yes.. that is it for sure..it is actually very nice ..
just need to figure out if I can buy a second one for the advertised $ 3.75 ???

I grew up in Rochester NY. WILCO was a great store. Actually a warehouse with a front counter. I bought a set of stone guards for a my of Lucas Flame Throwers that were on my '61 Roadster. They cost $10 as I remember.

On the 356 B - What is the thread diameter/pitch for the shift knob. Some where I heard 10 mm 1.25 BUT I removed the original and it is much larger. The largest tap I have is 12 mm and it is larger than that. My guess is around 14 mm. Please help.
