Edwin E. you are right on with my thoughts. That said, we should applaud Porsche for their participation in our hobby. Their support has been many fold in the past number of years. Remember, they are in this for the long haul. Big Corporations move at glacial speed, and that is OK.

If you need a part that doesn't exist, Porsche has a place to email them.

Thanks for the link, Trevor. I just tried to find part #644.24.207, listed as a "cover" for the emergency brake lever but looks like a bushing. The automated reply was the part is NLA. I've checked with every vendor I know of and the part is NLA. Anyone find a source or substitute?

As far as the survey, I received it and responded. I am aware of the Classis Porsche program as I know the GM and parts manager at our local Porsche dealership. They are looking to train techs to work in the "classic" cars. As far as parts, most will undoubtedly be reproduction as we 356 folks have been hoarding NOS and used parts for years, haven't we?!

I think Porsche realizes that we are a market and I'm sure many 356 owners own later model Porsches as well.
