Does anyone know about the Alloy Wheels from vs550

#1 Post by JERRY LANDES »

Vs550 is selling alloy wheels for only $169. I'm very interested especially at this price. Does anyone have
any experience with these wheels? I haven't gotten any response from them about how they fit and whether I will have to
change the lugs. Obviously they have been made for the VW group.
Does anyone know who these guys are and their contact information?

Jerry, if it's the ones that are selling on ebay, people were talking about them last week

Apparently they work for A drums but not B drums. This has happened before with wide 5 repro's, I know Stoddard had a bad batch several years back that this happened to.

Hi Cory, They look great on your car. Did you have to change the lugs and if so how long were the ones you installed?
Also they look like 4 1/2 Are they the powder coated ones or the brushed ones?

Cory I just looked back at your previous post which answered my questions except the lug lengths.

Cory,
Explain what drums you are using.
They appear to be VW with aluminum facing. If so it doesn't answer the question of fitting over the B drum.
Possibly adapters over disc brakes.
Also they use lug bolts, not nuts.

I am using disk brakes all around. I wanted disks but wanted to keep the wide five pattern. The front are empi for a vw on a 2.5 dropped spindle. rear are csp from germany(only thing that would fit). front are lug bolts and rear are lug nuts on studs. here are some pics of the front. yes these are powdercoated 4.5"
