For some reason my pics are too big to post now, but I used a vintage 2 gauge bezel like this. While not really original looking, I like the look of it a lot.

I have looked at the identical gauge panel! Looks great.

Chris,
Your dash does not appear to be painted. What did you use to cover it?

Oil pressure and ampermeter installed in my 1962 BT6 (long before I bought it) on both sides of the clock.
Simple and looks even better than the standard gauge setup.

My '63 additions.
Note, oil pressure goes to 70 psi and the ammeter to 60 amps (not 30). The bracket was designed and made at 356 Unlimited in Melbourne, FL. It mounts using the holes for the ashtray. Yes, going for 3rd gear requires a slightly modified grasp of the gear shift lever.

Has anybody found a combination gauge similar to the Smith's oil pressure/water temperature gauges (pic attached)? Would like to find a correct diameter oil pressure/oil temperature to replace a non working clock......

You are not going to watch the oil pressure gauge since it is usually not in front of you. The drive to the oil pump is substantial, I have only see one or two fail in a 50 year period of being associated with 356/912 engines. On the 911's there was an oil pressure gauge but on the 912's there was not! As Porsche wanted to make more money (which is why we are in business) the installed more gauges, higher priced radios, sun roof's. Enthusiasts liked more stuff to watch the engine with but in the event of an oil pump failure the light on the dash was the item that focused their attention. Oil pressure was so reliable in the VW's that only a small light was present in the speedometer. My point being that the gauge will only cause you to unrealistically worry as soon as you see the light shut it down. al zim

Somehow I'd rather know when the oil pressure is starting to fall, than to know what time it is when the oil pressure light comes on......
Put a gauge in it.
Put a gauge in it.
Some days it's just not worth chewing through the restraints.....
