Valve Clearance Decal
Does anybody have an original or a correct reproduction of the Valve Clearance Decal for a late 356 A ???
I am restoring my engine and my original one is not that great. ( Bottom picture )
Thank you !

Pascal,
A number of our regular advertisers carry them. Zims, Stoddard might be a good place to start.

Unfortunately, our suppliers only have the dual scale decals, not the single one as you have shown. I have a friend with a '59 that would also like to locate this decal.

Pascal, we are in the process of making them. Will take a few more weeks.

Re: Valve Clearance Decal
I would be interested as well. Were there two versions, one for Europe (metric) and one for the US (metric and inches)?

Re: Valve Clearance Decal
Me too. Will you print the early version with a black line around it instead of red too? Will they be "water slide" very thin film as original or stickers like current repros?

Re: Valve Clearance Decal
Hi Guys, sorry to have missed this. I have been working on the T2 decal for the past couple of months. Good news... they will become available!
It is long story, first I was going to have them printed but the bottom line is that Stoddard will have it done and they will commercialize them. I made a deal with them. The minimum order quantities are a pain for a private person but more interesting for professionals.
The Decal will be printed by the same outfit that made the B/C decals that include imperial as well as Metric clearances. Yes these will be correct water transfers.
The T2 decals are slightly lager than the later ones. The color is a slightly deeper orange. The T2 has a thicker red box surrounding the fonts and drawing/schematic. (early T2's, T1 and earlier cars ?) had a black out line and yet again different fonts.
Most of the credit for the Artwork should go to Gordon Maltby.
The art work is a faithful copy, correct in every detail, from a decal that was on my '59 Conv. D.
I expect them to be available at Stoddards in a couple of weeks.
