Another pic of the car with #302 on the door. The pics below are courtesy of Stephen D. @ Route 30 Classics. He had a Pre A with a cloth sunroof many years ago that he sold to Europe and was kind enough to dig out these pics and send them to me.

These three pictures of a split window car with cloth sunroof were posted on social media with the caption that the car was restored by Roger Bray Restorations.

I'm not positive, but I believe that this is #50927. Photos are from 1992.

More images -- the ones of #50927 haven't been stored as well. There is a print of what appears to be a Model 52 car, but there was nothing useful written on the back. The other one is my '55 coupe with the second version of the steel one.

I think he needed the rag top to fit in there, he's huge!
Personally I think Beetles look really cool with a rag top but not the 356 Coupe.

Timing Is Everything - The February 2019 issue of excellence magazine (p52) features a full story of Craig Richter's 1960 356B S-90 (Lucretia) and its Golde / Webasto sunroof. In addition to Craig, all of the other usual suspects are mentioned: Trevor Gates, Jack Staggs, Ray Litz, Roger Bursch, and of course Craig's wife, his sister and brother-in-law, as well as the 356 Registry.

As I am still a relative "newbie" member (only 40 yrs.) this article fills in a lot of holes about this historical icon. If you are not a subscriber it's worth your effort to get a copy for your bookshelf.

Thanks for the nice words Jeffrey. I'm beyond humbled that my name is even mentioned in the same breath as these legends. I love how much text was in the article and how it really highlighted Craig. I think quite a few people know Craig's name and the book, "How To Make an Old Porsche Fly", but not a lot know his background; and Craig being just the humblest guy, would never toot his own horn.

It truly was a fun project to help Jack with for Craig. Here are two pics that weren't included in the article but I think are worth sharing. The first is with Jack and Craig and Craig is holding his book. The second picture is of Jack cutting the hole in the roof. It's all talking, measuring and figuring stuff out prior to cutting the hole. As Jack and I both said at the exact same time... "Here's where you separate the men from the boys"

This period photo popped up on FaceBook over the weekend. If we presume the car is un-modified, any guesses as to the month & year? Early 54??? Bent window, A horn grill, opposing windshield wipers. Who knows when the A horn grills were implemented?

1954 but it is already missing the coachbuilder badge... restored and Jack got a hold of it already?

I had a request to add some information and photos of the sunroof from our 1960 356B T5 Super 90. Sadly, there is no mention of it on the CoA, Kardex, or Reutter Certificate. I have not been able to trace the previous owners, so don't know who or when it was installed. It sure seems professionally done, based on superficial inspection. The headliner has not yet been removed. The handle clearly reads "Golde".

I can add some close-up photos of the track system with the top opened if anyone wants to see those too.

Thanks for posting Dennis. I also copy and pasted this pic from your project thread. From the pics you posted I can identify that your car’s sunroof is using an early style ribbed handle.

Yes, please add some more of the sunroof open and when you can with the headliner removed. I’m specifically looking for how the frame is constructed and the method of attachment of the roof skin to the frame.
