Seat Rubber Bands
I have today left my front seats in for upholstery.
At the rear of each upper back section of the seats are 9 circular rubber bands which are connected by metal parts.
Over the last 50 years these have become brittle and are failing.
Does anyone know which vendor sells these, if any, and the correct name for them.
Many Thanks.

Standard Viton "O" rings. Any industrial supplier will sell them.
If I had known I would live this long I would have pushed the envelope a little harder.

Yes, If his local hardware store did not have them, He could use Hardware Ireland ( mail order ) from Dublin.

Can someone describe these parts further, where they go and and for what model years? I don't see them on any parts breakdown that I have. Many thanks

Re: Seat Rubber Bands
They have metal hooks attached and stretch to side of setback frame suspending padding I think. Hoping a friend who recovered his own seats will add a picture if he has one. His was a 59 Cab and they are used through C at least.

Thanks Doug,
I don't have any of these on my seats, so will have to hunt around for the rubbers and the hooks also

Re: Seat Rubber Bands
Thanks for posting the picture Doug,
I was going to get one for Gary on Monday at the upholstery shop.
Yes, I live in the middle of nowhere, it's a bit of a hike to a hardware shop.
Amazon sells rubber hoops, as David mentions, I just put into google Briton O rings and the size Doug mentioned, and up they popped.

Re: Seat Rubber Bands
Glad I could save you trip to the trimmer. I thought your seats looked pretty good. New skins?

Re: Seat Rubber Bands
The rear are all retrimmed Doug.
The fronts were in very bad condition, the trimmer is making the covers from scratch in the same material, antique burgundy like the rear, as in the picture.
