Gregory - I just watched your video. You really did well to pass the Pooper twice! You stayed ahead of him nicely through traffic but he also got you back in traffic, passing the Glockler. I would say he had quite a brave (but a little too brazen for my taste) move passing you and another 356 right thru the corkscrew. Great reaction by you then to also to miss the 356 as you had to watch the Pooper coming on your inside coming into the corkscrew. Wonderful driving and nice lines around the track! Cheers, Andrew

Thanks Andrew. It was an epic battle!

It was really tough (and a little un-nerving) to move through such a big grid. Fortunately we were able to do it cleanly and I hope we didn't spoil anyone else's race. It was a little disheartening to drop from the lead due to traffic, but thats what happens sometimes. It was a very dramatic pass. When I watched the video I couldn't believe how fast my steering corrections had to be!

Nice reactions. I guess there aren't any blue flag in historic racing and a pity some of the car you were passing didn't look in their mirrors.

What was the car you were racing against that got away? Looked like a 550 but the driver seems to sit in the middle of the car too much? It also looked like you lapped some RS61s (sry I just looked at the title they can't be RS61s) which I would of guessed would of been more competitive?

The car that won is Cameron Healy's Pooper. It is a Porsche pushrod powered Cooper with a Hewland gearbox. It weighs about 900lbs. There were 2 550's, 3 RSK's, and an RS60 in the race. I love 4 cam's and I love Spyders, which just made it all the more satisfying to pass them with my half speedster / half Devin special. Theoretically the RSK/RS60/RS61 Spyders should be quicker. They are the same weight, same or slightly better hp and better suspension. But most people don't want to push their multi million $ car that hard.

The infamous pass, really hard to do anything about a rock and a hard place. Truth be told, everyone went home with all their appendages intact.

Looks like the Pooper was Emory build/tuned?
