Go to the local Harley- Davidson shop in your area. Those restoring Harlies are as anal as 356ers. Find out who they use for chroming.

I had my chrome parts done at this shop. Excellent work, very well done, but not a cut-rate price. All my stuff came back in great shape.

Pat Collins told me that he uses Graves Plating in Florence AL.
I have no experience with them, but apparently he likes them, and Mr. Collins certainly knows his way around a 356.

I used Christensen Plating in California....the shipping with insurance was steep, along with the price of the chrome work itself,..but I couldn't have been happier with the results. I certainly understand the desire to personally deliver and pick up the parts though.

Nick Alexander used Christensen for his legendary woodie collection. Great local reputation. Some people around here use Bolton - likewise a great reputation. Expensive to ship though.

My first recommendation would be Librandi's ,http://www.carchrome.com/beta/librandi/classic.htm, if quality is foremost and you don't object to paying for it. Located not too far from Hershey, Pa.

Second recommendation would be Paul's Chrome Plating, http://www.paulschrome.com/, located in Pittsburgh, pa.

In case anyone needs them.
I just dropped a rim off at Bolton's to be re-chromed (19 May 15).
He has about ten (10) painted drum brake rims stacked in the front of his shop.
He also has several rim "outers" (without centers) on hand.
BTW - Jesus is still there running the place.

George:
Atlantic Coast Plating has done my seat recliners (356) and some fog light housings (911). Not cheap but great quality. They are in Athens, TN.
