During all of 55 years, I have sets of Solex air filter bolts w/& w/o holes for the safety wire, but never needed to wire them as long as they're snugged down properly--even on my 4-cam using the w/o holes.
However, using the bolts w/the holes, they should have the wire(s) for show.

The safety wire looks cool alright, but my carbs have never stayed in tune long enough to make the wiring anything but very temporary!
