Who's the judge for the appeal of the contempt citation? The same judge who issued it?

Do Mr. Heinrichs and Ms. Miller have to deposit the $50,000 fine (or a bond) with the court before the appeal is accepted?

Just spit-balling but the appellate court is a different level and therefore would be comprised of different judges. My guess is part of the appeal is the finding of contempt so the fines would not be paid until the appellate court renders its findings.

Good lord, who knows. I had actually forgotten all about this silliness. Jeez Vic, it's all your fault from what I hear. If you and the other trustees had just caved in to all of the threats/demands/whatever from 7 or 8 malcontents, we wouldn't even be having this conversation 8)

The last update on the Latest News page, on 17 June, said:

"Further, the Plaintiff and his counsel, Tiffany C. Miller are hereby Ordered to return all documents received in discovery provided by Defendant to the office of Counsel for Defendant, Dominic J. Chieffo, within fourteen (14) days of the filing of this order. It is so Ordered. Judge Richard S. Sheward".

I will repeat what I wrote on 17 July:
Brian R Adams wrote: I was surprised to read in the magazine that Plaintiff has been found in contempt of court and fined $50k payable to The Registry. And that Plaintiff has appealed that order
I don't think asking for an update is unreasonable. I'll distill it down to a simple question: Were all the documents returned?

In the latest issue, it is stated that the Registry won a decisive victory and the lawsuit is finally coming to a close. Has the appelant court rendered a decision and will that be posted on our website?

Mike, the key word is "Coming" to a close. No decision from the court of appeals. And don't forget the state supreme court, that could be next. If we had something to report we surely would.

I still have never gotten an answer: Were all the Registry documents returned?

Unless somebody says flatly that they have then it is a safe bet that they have not been returned. Since the plaintiff and his lawyer were held in contempt by the courts even if the records were returned then who is to say no copies were made anyway.

Cliff, a question that could only be answered by the trustees/officers. Any feedback from either?

There seems to be a gag order in force. I think they'd prefer this wasn't discussed or debated openly here. What other conclusion may we draw?
