The location of some Registry posters, as mine, can be found by those interested by clicking on the Daily Digest poster's name, or on a subject poster's "profile" rather than having locations included in their post signatures.

I have just replied to a Classified Advertisement
I forgot to take a copy and cannot remember (Exactly) what I said

WHEN are we going to get a `Send Copy to Self` button - ??????

This is a standard on all `Proper` websites and it already exists, when sending an email to a member through the Registry pages
So we have it in one section and not in another - Where is the lodgic ?

Why is such a simple task and the Memberhip ignored ?
There is no effort involved, except – just instruct the Web Techi`s to Add it

I totally agree with Mike Wilson and others on this, since the first thing I do when I am reading posts, is glance to the left hand side to see where they are located. Makes it more relevant and personal. I get the security thing, but...

Many people posting here looking for help would get MUCH MORE HELP if they had their city, state, and country shown. Knowing where somebody is can inspire people to get involved. They may even offer to look at a car and offer their many years of expertise. Or people may know somebody in area that could help who you would never find on your own.

Maybe the best resource is the large majority, the people who watch Talk but do not post. If they are local to you or know about your problem or know somebody in your area they may click the email button to contact you privately.

I realize some people are whacky about privacy but then why are you posting here at all? The Unabomber didn't have a 356 or a computer or even electricity. That's how to live stealth.

i noticed not too many members include the VIN number in their signature. Are there any drawbacks in doing so?

Just a heads up. :)

I wasn't able to find the User Control Panel. Turns out the brown panel (Porsche 356 Rgistry...Sign In) at the top of this page was wrapping to the line below and covering up the Notifications and member's name line. I had to widen the browser window so that the brown panel occupied only one line.
