The Porsche Factory and Museum tours are in process (waiting on final date from Porsche Factory) but one other location we would like to visit is the Weissach Engineering Center.
Understand there are issues about certain areas because Porsche is always doing work for other companies, but maybe a tour of the Porsche racing shops?
One friend has already said it's like getting into Fort Knox - so it feels like a challenge.
Anyone have ANY contacts/suggestions on that topic?
Will be writing an article about this experience.

Unless you know somebody personally, who works a Weissach you will not be allowed in.
Even then you would need a good reason to be invited in.
It used to be part of a Porsche Club visit to the factory to visit Weissach also but that was many years ago.
Just go and stand by the gate and watch many different cars come and go.
If you are lucky they might be testing a racecar on the testtrack but even then you will only hear it!!

Re: Visiting Weissach Engineering Center
John Hearn, thanks for your thoughts.
This effort may be a quest worthy of Don Quixote but no harm trying.
After all, worst case is we wind up not being able to enter Weissach Engineering Center and that is no different than right now. <grin>
Best case someone knows somebody who can get us into the center.
