Re: Articles Index - Troubleshooting and Repair
I have found the Registry Mag tech articles incredibly valuable. FWIW, these indexes published in previous mags are quite helpful:
Volume 26.3: Registry Magazine Index covering Volumes 1 - 25 (1974-2001)
Volume 30.1: Article Index covering Volumes 27-29
Also, the 356 Registry DVD covers Volumes 21 - 30 (May 1997 - March 2007), and is searchable.
The Magazine page here allows searching for a particular issue or range of issues, but if there was also a key word search capability across all issues, that would be a big hit, IMO.
Every time I need to find a tech article published after Vol 30, seems like I end up thumbing through the back pages of most of them, swearing to myself that I really should compile an index once and for all...

Re: Articles Index - Troubleshooting and Repair
A while back, someone posted a step-by-step list of how to find voltage drops and shorts in the wiring harness with a voltmeter. I can’t find it. Anybody write that or know where that is? Thanks, Jay

Jay - I did a series of electrical articles 4 or 5 years ago. Maybe that's what you're thinking of.

Re: Articles Index - Troubleshooting and Repair
By the way, we are in the midst of making a master index of 356 magazine articles from Vol. 1, No. 1 - it's a lot of work and with some dedicated volunteers, we're about 40% of the way there.
It will allow a search for individual articles using a google type search. Michael Branning is leading a huge effort that will incorporate this into an overall site upgrade.
We are looking for more volunteers to help this effort - it involves reading through past issues of magazines and entering 'tags' into a spreadsheet. It's not difficult to do but it takes some time. If you have some time and the inclination to help this project along, please contact me either through the site contact process or directly at gregbryan@porsche356registry.org.

Greg,
There is an article missing in your list.
"Automotive Electrical Testing" Volume 41, number 5 January/February 2018
I think that one is the one Jay is looking for.

Easy to use link to articles in alphabetic order
Below is a link to articles in alphabetic order that I find easy to use.
https://porsche356registry.org/article/326
Recent articles (the last few years) are not included but almost all of the important problems are included.

Here's a different index.

The entire website is obsolete. We are working on a new website that will incorporate the technical articles as well as extracts from the magazine and forum links and will be much more user friendly. We hope to launch it by the end of the first quarter of next year. 95% of the work is being done by volunteers so it will take some time.
