Wow! At least no real Speedster was harmed in the making of this hot rod.

Nope.
A trip 'round the Oakland Roadster Show was edifying some time back: 2 Pedals? Not a hot rod.
That's a style cruiser...

More like a classless, homely and disproportionate lump of wasted time and energy that misses the point of a rear-engine air-cooled car. An insult to the Porsche brand claiming to be a Speedster. Even the lettering uses the wrong font.

Being a 356 purist, afflicted forever with originality/stock disease, I couldn't agree more. To each his own, though, I guess...

I'd drive it and I may even survive the drive! I'm sure it would be a blast! No, it's not a 356 nor is it pretending to be. And I'm fine with that.

Emil, my comment wasn't directed at your post. Just my $0.02 personal opinion on the car.

Being shameless, I'd buy it *and* drive it.
If it had a clutch.

When I was in high school my mother was once laughing at a young muscle car guy with an automatic, and she is not even a car person. (She kept a clutch pedal until she was 89).
