Celette Jig Porsche 356

#1 Post by Steven De Smedt »

Hello,

For a long time I was (and stil am) looking for Celette fixtures to put a Porsche 356 on a chassis jig.

Due to my job I came in contact with Celette Europa. They told me that they could not help me and that they had several questions about this set for Porsche 356.

I think there will other users here on the forums that will have the same problem.

I want to duplicate this fixtures and I'm looking for the original fixture dimensions.

If somone can help me or is also looking for these fixtures, knows somone who has these. Please let me know.

Kind regards,

Steven De Smedt

I heard Ric from Rusty Tubs was working on making Cellete fixtures, you might want to reach out to him www.rustytubs.com

Check out my Barn Find column in the Registry magazine, always looking for good stories.

Try Eric Wills at Wills Werkes. He has the basic jig and had some fixtures made for it.

You might take a look at the various illustrations in shop manuals in the body repair section. The dimensions are there so building the fixtures is fairly straight forward. Used Celette benches are fairly common and inexpensive. And heavy. There is an Arizona distributor that used to have a number of them. A distributor in Europe might have them as well.

There are some differences in the fixture dimensions depending upon the model.

Steven,

I think Christof de Coene Porsche in Maaseik ( B) has those fixtures.

Jan.

Update on the Celette Jig.

Plans remade with Inventor and lasercut the plates.

The tube parts are also ready, but not on the picture.

Assembly of the jig will be something for next weeks.

I will make them so they fit on a Celette Jig.

After that test fitting on a verry rusted but straight A-shell :D

I will keep you informed
