I owned and restored both of these. Both matching S90's. Auratium Green 200569 was driven to Sedona from GA & won best B at the 50th anniversary of the B Holiday. :D

It was also driven to Park City from GA and won B closed. It now resides in a private collection.

Ivory 201973 was driven to the PA holiday & is still around in GA. They should be added to the list. I had at least six more drivers over a 35+ year period and somewhere I have a sheet of paper with the VINs.

Hate to tell you how many Charlie Smith & I chopped up between 79-91 timeframe...but I would guess @ a dozen or more. Seems criminal in retrospect but at the time people were paying you $25 to just take it out of the garage or yard.

Just acquired 200408 Heron with Red; 1600 Super. All matching...no CoA but something better..whole "life history" of the car from typewriter done shipping papers from factory to Hoffmann, port arrival cards, Hoffmann new car invoice (with #'s), service cards when checked in new (with all #'s), and every registration + more. A real properly documented find. Only one owner from new, then me...have the docs to show it. Got it from the son, a super nice man, with a great story of the car. Gave me pics of his dad with the car, and every receipt and registration from insurance letter when it was picked up new until it was parked. Original pan, sans rust; all intact, just garage storage dirty & a well driven 356. So it's a little needy, a little ratty, chipped up & scuffed, but not a bad old car; but has all the unique hardtop parts. Has a patch in the battery box, few non-factory mods such a SW black face gauges, 12volt, full flow, and an 8 track. Deciding now whether to restore or clean up and just get it on the road as it is. Inclined to go with the latter.

1961 Karmann notchback 200517 is back on the road after a two year restoration. The car had been in a Virginia barn for for 27 years. I purchased it from the original owner and the car has undergone an extensive restoration.

Hi there I am back to the registry since today.
We own the # 200 500 Should be back on the road next summer. Slate Grey and a Super 90 with red Interieur.
We are having a hard time to find out where the car had been driven bofore we bought it in Atlanta 1996.
The pre owner past away before we knew what we had bought. We just happend to be at the right place at the right time not knowing anything about 356 Porsche cars at all...

Here is my first question: :-) What is the difference between the left and the right window regulator on those cars?

Thanks for any feedback.
BTW I know of two other cars that will be surviving too: 200328 & 200847
The 200287 will be convertet into a cab soon... :-(

Christoph

My feedback is don't convert that car to a cabriolet, there are already plenty of them!

That's just a few cars behind mine (200443). My door window regulators are identical as far as I can tell. Are yours different, or just pointing at different angles? If the latter you can correct that by gently tapping out the pin that holds it in place, pulling the regulator off, adjusting its angle on the teeth and reinserting the pin.
