I have Karman Notchback coupe #202231.

Herron Gray. Original interior was blue vinyl. Now red leather.
The car is excellent. It was a 60HP normal when born. It's now got 90 HP with an excellent rebuild.
Not a spec of rust and has not been bent. 96,000 miles of Northern Californian life.

I have 202133 and the pictures listed in Bring a Trailer for 202290 it shows that the battery is located in the middle of the trunk. On mine the battery is located on the passenger side. Any idea when this changed?

Bob,

On cars prior to the T-6, the battery was centrally located. The T-6, introduced for the 1962 year, ( but first cars actually produced late in 1961), the battery was relocated to the passenger side of the trunk. The left side then had ample room for the optional Eberspacher gas heater.

Jim,

Was your batter box replaced with T-5 sheet metal? My T-6 202133 was built 12/19/1961 and the wiring supports the battery on the passenger side.

These do not turn up for sale very often. But there is one for sale on Ebay that is located in Corona, California.

Steve,

200517 has crawled out of a barn in VA and is now being restored.

Don't think this one is coming back, 200501, but it might.
