I never loved the lines of these cars; others do.

We’re they sold contemporaneously with the coupes and priced similarly or at a discount? Both models in the show room?

Both models in the show room. This was supposed to be the 'family car' with more headroom for the rear passengers.

Regarding 200003 notchback coupe it has now been restored and happily is parked with my other. Being the oldest known I left it LHD rather than converting to RHD. It’s original Color and trim and drives very well Stewart Webster

Here's a fun video segment on my notch (200443):
https://youtu.be/dHX6JRoGzDM

We had captured a lot more driving footage, but sadly it didn't all make the final cut.

And a link to the longer livestream we did:

You can add another Notchback to your list.
Vin 200965 is alive and well in Mesa Az. Bought the car in 1982 and had some restoration done in the mid 90’s new paint last year. Red exterior Tan interior. A beautiful car to look at and drive.

I’ve just finished notchback 200003 the first on the known list of that model after about 15 years of ownership. I’ve left it left hand drive as I’ve got a T6 I converted a few years back. I’m a big fan of this body configuration, it’s quieter than a coupe, no door frames and it just looks right. I bought one years ago and sold it to a guy that took the roof of to make a cab, he now regrets that as I’m sure of others are

Karmann Notchback 200022 is going through a restoration process and residing in Estonia. It was painted some time ago and now waits for the final assembly. It has been a long project and probably takes some more time before the car can be seen on the roads. Just do not have enough time to finish it since most of the time is spent on all the other projects.

Nice!

Wish the rims of my notchback's headlamp buckets looked like that (mine are barely hanging on the headlamp assembly after a previous owner fender bender in the 70s, not even enough room to fit the rubber seal!

1961, 200436 S90 is on it's way back from being a couperiolet project! Working on the driver side until realizing I had a coupe door. Project on hold...

Convertible door skin and a coupe door frame challenge! I want those gaps as close to specs as possible with no lead!

An original skin transferred to the coupe door? Here’s a reference pic of my original cab door. Both sides look the same.
