Steve, is there an LED light that can go inside the turn signal stalk too? The original pre-A ones are impossible to see or hear blinking on a bright sunny day with the windows down.

I hear ya on the stalk light James.
I did finally sort out my turn signal flasher problem,...I just kept the original in there, haha.
It flashes, a little fast, but it flashes. For the turn signal stalk I just kept a normal 12 volt lamp in there. It still doesn't light. I think the SWF lens covers darken over time so much that no light can show through. I've never heard of anybody ever having theirs work. If so,...somebody chime in here and let us all know how to get it to light. I think it would be cool to have that work. It also have an impossible time remembering to return the signal stalk to neutral as I can't hear the flasher, and there is no indicator light. I drive around constantly indicating a turn, then remember usually when I go to make another turn, and find it's been on for miles.

Sent Jules an email and did not receive a response. Does anyone have any other suggestions on how to reach him?
Thanks much.

I use the VW email too. He may be away as I know he has been traveling off and on the last year.

Jules is fine. I talked to him today. He's been extremely busy but said he'll get back with everyone as soon as he can.

I received a response from "Sven" saying that he has an led bulb package. I don't know "Sven". When I asked him if he was a member his response was "Jules is the member but he has no time to fill orders"
Does anyone know "Sven"???
Thanks

Hard to communicate with Jules but I did contact Sven and got my sets. One interesting thing is that they would not dim on any of my cars until I replaced one of the LED units in each with an incandescent one and now they dim beautifully and look completely stock except brighter; even on my freshly refurbished NHS gauges on my 12v 912 and 356 as well as on my 6V 356.

Antonio,

That is very interesting news! You just wiped away the objection I had to using the bulbs.

Could any of the electrical engineering types on here explain why that works? And why has no one ever mentioned this before?

Antonio and Ed,

I have never heard of this. I have three cars with the LED's and they all dim w/o having to have one of them be incandescent.

Sebastian,
I have no experience with these bulbs. I have only read that the dimming variability is greatly reduced, unlike a regular bulb which goes smoothly from 0 to 100%.
