Guy,
I am VERY happy for you!

Could you follow up with any information about the thief/thieves in regard to their "character", criminal history, and possible motivation? If they cut wires they have zero knowledge of 356s and did no planning...or they are extra stupid. Anyway, it would be interesting to know who the enemy is. I wonder if they were "filling an order"? Many questions remain.

Extremely happy you got your car back. I was shocked and saddened about the theft, and am very glad the Internet once again came in handy.

Great News!!

"A woman recognized the car from some "post on the internet".

Great news!

Why cut wires? To get around possible alarm or short around ignition? Do you think it was flat bedded? I am always looking for info to safeguard against left. I had a 911 stolen ten years ago.

Thanks,
John

Absolutely congratulations! After this long, you might not be able to learn to drive any other car... that one has to be almost automatic by now...

Great,
So happy you got your wonderful car back. You were blessed and lucky to get it back in one piece.
Our '58 Speedster was stolen in Los Angeles almost 40 years ago, and we were lucky to get it back although it was repainted, bumpers were removed and rear fenders were flared in metal.
So happy for you!
All the best,
Steve

Hello all,

Hard to believe that it has been 3 years since Blu was stolen. I cannot thank you enough for your support and assistance in getting him back.

With only 100 miles left to go, we are planning to celebrate at our local brewery on Thursday October 6th. Since Blu is both turning 51 and hitting a million miles, it appears that a couple of German TV crews will be coming over to interview Guy and film the car.

If you are anywhere near San Pedro, please join us. The event details can be found at:

https://porsche356registry.org/events/651

Thanks again.
