Looking for history on my 1956 356 A cabriolet Carrera

#1 Post by Trevor Peterson »

Hello,
I am new to the forum. I am restoring a 1956 356 A Cabriolet Carrera. The car originally came out of Colorado. I am trying to find some history on it. I was told that it was raced a little by the first owner. The owner I know him as Dr. Jackson. The car would have been raced around 56 to 59 sometime in those years. If anyone in Colorado has any idea of whom I could talk to about finding history on this car would be greatly appreciated. My Name is Trevor Peterson. I am out of Idaho. I love this car a lot. I have been having a lot of fun finding sourcing parts and meeting lots of great people in the 356 world. I have learned a lot but in the big picture very little. Thank you in advance for any help.

Bill Jackson died several years ago.
What is the serial number? I don;t have a '56 Carrera cab in my list of Bill's cars.

Bill Jackson was a legendary Porsche collector. I'm sure others on here will chip in with more pertinent info.

Welcome, Trevor. There are several Carrera- knowledgeable members on the Registry that I'm sure can be of assistance.
