It looks like I have a leak coming into the floor tunnel on my 65 356c. Is this a tough fix, does the trans have to be dropped?

It looks like I have a leak where the shift linkage connects to the transmission on my 65 356c. Does the transmission have to be dropped to replace the seal, I’m trying to decide if I should attempt this myself.

Thanks
Rob

In this thread by Preston Brown Vic Skirmants gives a good description of how to do it: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=27551&hilit=transmi ... +seal+nose
1965 356C There is never enough time to do it right, but always enough time to do it over.
