What is the best technique to install the quarter window glass with a new rubber seal? I know you have to sand the ends of the new seal where the corner brackets are to make room for them. But do you install the seal in the frame first or on the glass first? And do you use any lube on the rubber to make it slide easier and if so, what?
Nothing is mentioned about this part of the assembly in Jim Kellogg's book, and there seems to be difficulties with either of the above mentioned techniques!

Reviving this old thread. The link no longer works and an Archive search comes up empty.
Can anyone direct me to this tutorial?

Re: Quarter Window Glass/Seal Installation Help
I just did these and the 3 Part guide with excellent images on the abcgt site (above) is outstanding. Incidentally, I found that the new Porsche supplied rubber seals (inner, glass and frame) all fitted well and required minimal cursing and urging to fit.

Re: Quarter Window Glass/Seal Installation Help
Lots of dish soap, lots of curse words. At lease that is my method. Lube everything, and I put the rubber on the glass first. …….Jim.

Re: Quarter Window Glass/Seal Installation Help
It went well Jim. Fitted all the seals and a neat outcome. Provided you take your time, do the reading homework and do those small recessed cuts around the brackets carefully. Off to the beach with confidence tomorrow. There is a cyclone/hurricane off the coast however ...
