A friend sent me this, apparently his dad had it in the car in the 80s, so the trend continued!

Martin, we had a guy in college we call "The Ripper" but he had really bad gas, so it might be something different.

Many of you have probably already read about the car in the latest issue of the magazine, it was a twin grill Roadster. But what came with it was surprising, a NOS door, with the Drauz sticker still on it.
And before anyone asks, it's not for sale, it sold with the car.

You never know what's behind door number 2...

That is a Drauz sticker. I have one on my NOS door too.

Over 35 years ago I had a couple of Conv D's. One was really worth restoring, so I purchased a selection of parts for the restoration. One pair was the door latch panels. These were purchased from Stoddard, and I went down to pick the parts up along with many other pieces. I remember Chuck Stoddard himself assisting my purchase, and when it came to the latch panels, he dropped the stairway to the attic. After disappearing for a short while he came back with two original Drauz parts; stickers & all. Actually they included the inner wing; part of the inner fender wall. Chuck said that If I had not been there in person I would have been sent reproduction cabriolet parts that would have required extensive modification to fit. Not sure if that was the time I got that 904 limited slip diff or not. Lovely place to visit in the 70's.

I took a great picture of the now old Stoddard spot when I had a 52 on the trailer several years ago. This was after Chuck had parted with the place but I was able to give him a copy of the picture at the last holiday, he had never seen it. I can only imagine the fun that was had there. Luckily Dan was there with his camera ready so I could capture the moment.

Chuck had a 917 in his showroom regularly. I had the pleasure of watching him drive it at Mosport at some vintage event; it had such a sweet sound. It was a rather small car when you stood beside it.

I learned a long time ago, I can't be everywhere and find everything, I'm just happy I find the stuff I do. Cool story about the tank, wonder why they didn't show any of the footage of the actual gold.

I'm sure some of you have seen one of these, it's the first I've seen. I bought a whole pile of parts last week on my way to Ski Roundtop, the only catch was I had to take the trailer.

Don't know about a T5 coupe, Vic; Jerry did have an A cp w/chrome bumpers and he took in the "Das Varoom" event in Columbus'
German Village and the Registry Holiday 3 in Indy.(in '77). Former owner was Bill Durland.

That's an old response. Without digging back in the posts, I assume you're talking about Jerry Keyser. His first 356 was a white T-5 coupe.

Here is a cool one from a recent haul. It's just a crate at first glance, but when you look at the shipping labels, it came from the Factory, and the lack of zip codes means that it was pre-63. I wonder what would have fit in a crate like this?
