Wierd FM buzz on Blaupunkt

#1 Post by William Shea »

Hi all,

The radio that came with my '64SC is a Blaupunkt Montreal (6V) which is a solid state AM/FM that I understand is circa '66. Just recently, it has developed an annoying high-pitched buzz/whine in FM only that goes off when I touch the outside antenna. It's present all the time...even with the engine off. Connections to the radio seem good including the antenna connection.

Any thoughts or suggestions before I dig in deeper?

TIA,

Bill Shea

Background radiation; evidence of the "Big Bang"....

But Ron, the buzzing just stared recently. My bet, exporatory alien radio waves, that or
carney's with a big boom box somewhere within a 50 mile radius.
