Lars,
What a cool shot! Look at those skinny old tires wavin' in the wind. Rear motors fly flat...

Re: Your 356 pic of the Day......
As I remember there's an great passage in Jenk's book, A Passion for Porsches about bringing the 356 in to land, complete with diagrams of the patterns the back wheels leave on the road as they try to clap together. Can't seem to lay my hand on the book just at the moment to confirm.
The other thing I can't find is that wonderful shot of the Speedster... or cab with the Christmas tree attached. If I remember correctly the car was driving by a lake. Can't find it anywhere.
Nevertherless, Happy Christmas to all.
Mike.

It`s a great shot Alex, a true classic.... but no, unfortunately neither shots are the one I`m thinking of.
If I remember, it was a shot by a member here on the registry. He`d gone with his wife to pick up the tree and had stopped on the way home to take the photo... by a lake... There was no snow.
I may have dreamt this.
Thanks, Mike.

This is a great shot, looks like the Matterhorn. What could he be doing and how did he get out of the car ?
In a similar vein,
Regards, Mike.

"... how did he get out of the car?"
Out a window, right onto the snow bank.

Re: Your 356 pic of the Day......
Driving in snow seems to be part and parcel of 356 ownership. It`s something I`ve never done, over here in the UK snow means salt and it`s just not worth the rot.
However, at Silverstone race track, Porsche have a driving experience center with test tracks designed to recreate all manner of driving conditions. We took Ruby, the Ruby red car down and tackled the ice hill, a low friction surface, fed by fountains and while the early 911s spun and stalled , Ruby just ploughed on up to the top. No slipping, no sliding, the skinny tyres and low power the perfect combination for snowy/icy conditions.
So here`s my 356 pic of the day, Hayley on the ice hill.

Right after it snowed in Ohio a few years ago I got out before the salt trucks.
If I had known I would live this long I would have pushed the envelope a little harder.
