Putt Putt the Porsche meets the Doggie Diner Heads. Picked up the car at The Stable this morning and Alan was there! He looks great. He remembers me, my car, and the funky, homemade, cup holder I used to have. Seems to be fully recovered and enjoying his retirement. Only bummer is he sold his Turbo

Re: Your 356 pic of the Day......
This is why Porsche pictures are important. Without a photograph, I might never have found my car again. It was all I had to go by.
These are the two photographs that proved that despite being a different color, this was my car.....40 years later.
I was fortunate to buy the same car twice (Carmine).
First in 1970 from Don Burns, in Garden Grove, California.
Then in 2013 from Ibrahim Kuzu, in Texas.
On May, 25, 2016 Carmine and I will be celebrating her 55th birthday.
Despite being a different color, if you closely at the front chrome bumper risers, you will see the very same scratches. This is how I first identified that this was indeed my very same car.

Dan,
Is this in the Puget Sound ? Beautiful pictures !
Used to have property between Friday Harbor and Roche Harbor, and always wanted to have my `62 up there.

Dan
Are you going to Maifest this weekend. The Ferry schedule is tight but if you make the 0630 crossing I think you might make it. We are crossing the south end of Whidbey at 0730 and meeting in Monroe at 0830 for the slog up the mountain. 356Group NW has data on the website.

John,
Olympic Peninsula, Clallam County. Back roads of Jefferson County are even better.

Would love to go, however, Irrigation Festival is this weekend and our Rotary Club has lots of involvement in the celebration/parade.John Brooks wrote:Dan

My car on its way to have the engine fitted. The last time she went anywhere under her own steam was 4 years ago.

Thanks Edwin, the engine has been rebuilt properly this time and I'm looking forward to finding how a fresh engine would have felt in 1959.
