Hi Edwin
you must take into account that this configuration allowed the use of the alloy wheels with the steel centers and on the race cars the calipers were alloy.

As far as i know yep ,it was cut up a long time ago ,by a vw guy -he used the motor for hill climbing trails ,a lot of fellow racers wondered were he got this exotic piece of engineering from ,as far as i know he died from falling into a cannel were he lived ,so the trail goes cold from there on .
i ,m in touch with a guy who,s dad bought the wreck when it was rolled (in the 70,s),with a lot of damage ,he says he remembers his dad starting it up it up in the close were they lived .The people living near him were not too happy from an open header 2.0 four cam at full throttle !
Hoping to get a few old pictures of it parked outside this guys house ,i,ll post them when i get them .

I have to agree with lots of the comments on here you should sell them surely? You have a interesting brake/valuable brake that isn't correct for you car. 61/62 Carrera? Sell them and buy a disc brake that will work as well, and you will be able to get the parts for if something goes wrong, and pocket the difference?

Thanks brad , silver it is then .
Hello Neil ,to answer your post , I,m already running discs from a C .
I got these annular brakes very cheap , all the parts are available I need for them .
My goal is to go back to wide five stud wheels , I like Porsches idea in keep the wide five .
I,m currently running space saver wheels , very light , like to go back to my date match wide five wheels with a twist !

Daniel: Are your wide fives stamped 1555 or 1585, or were they home brew? Are the annulars also referred to as 60 mm?

60 mm is width of GT brake drum, different from annulars.
