That clock you show there looks a lot like the ones that the guy on EBay was recovering the faces with a paper stick on face. The light looks a little wavy as it shines off the face. Look closely and see if the face is real paint or a (albeit decent quality) paper overlay.
He did it on original Kienzle clocks with a white/cream colored face. Those came in a lot of era cars, mainly Opals, and a far far more common than the green face keinzels,..hence his efforts at “upgrading”
If it’s an original painted face, that’s one cool original clock you have there.
