Hirth Crankshaft Pictures, Ident Required

Many thanks to Joris Koning regarding his Hirth Roller Crank articles, in the last two 356 Registry magazines. These crankshafts, and the engines that they were installed in, seem to hold an everlasting interest to lots of people.
Over ten years ago, a friend here in Sydney, purchased in the one lot, 3 Pre-A cars and some boxes of assorted parts. Included in the parts was a Hirth Roller Crank, which I've attached pictures of.
I tried to include as much of the finer details in the pictures, as I could, including
the stamped numbers 1 1 72 and
light scribing on another crank throw which says
RENN SPORT WERKE
01 5/10/68 0010
11/16/88 +0.8.8.8
If anyone can provide us with any comments and information about this Crank, especially which type of engine it was made for, we would greatly appreciate it.
Many Thanks
