Re: Late "A" wedge style front turn signals?
Hi Drew,
I don't have interest in the lights, but I'm curious about 2-RHD '59 cps(?); May I ask what are the chassis #s for reference?
I have access to 105460 & it came from So. Africa in 1985.
Best regards,
Dick

I am looking for type held in with screws and not the twist lock style. I believe SWF K2665 is what I am looking for.

Steve,
You'll need two of the four wedge pieces shown in the left foreground on Drew's post to make a set of the bezel type wedge fixtures. These are pot metal and may require stripping and filling with a pot metal rod prior to replating. Assembled they'll look like this

Unfortunately others jumped on Drew and bought them from under me. I have a Convertible D that is almost finished with restoration and these are the only parts left to source as I wasn't sure until much research which type the car was supposed to have.

early D's have the bezel type wedge, later ones have the twist. 86616 came with the twist type. rumor has it the change occurred around #85503

Hi Steve
Jules and Spencer are right if your car is early (not sure of the cut off chassis number) then the the wedge's on the left of my picture are correct for your 'D'.
I have one pair of these left in pretty good condition.
Hi Dick
I have 2 RHD 1959 coupes.

85692 has the earlier wedge base - another data point. Note that 85501 is the first Conv D.Jules Dielen wrote:early D's have the bezel type wedge, later ones have the twist. 86616 came with the twist type. rumor has it the change occurred around #85503

85966, with a Kardex date of March 1959, has 2 pc, wedge base turn signals which I know to be original to the car.

86007 has the wedge-based turn signals with the twist-on lenses. However, the markings don't seem to match anything reported earlier in this thread: both are stamped SWF K12627
