Ben, hard to say without price but I will take 5. Any chance the leather can be skived to the correct 2mm thickness? Would imagine that to be fairly easy

I've been attempting to get a grease stain out of vinyl safely. One formula that helped somewhat was a paste of baking soda, water and some dish washing liquid. Apply the paste and let it sit for a while before removing. If that isn't working, rub it into the stain. This didn't do anything negative to the vinyl and appears ro help.

I use "Prop Wash", available at most aviation supply stores.

Ben—perhaps you should start a separate thread about the sale of your straps. This topic is about the best cleaner for tool kit bags.

Jim, Mike,
Your points are well taken. I am not selling anything yet and I never intended to sell anything on this posting... but many people asked me regarding the leather belts. I will also soon post my friends solution for the buckles.
For anyone interested in belts please send me a private email, and let us try to keep this post strictly about cleaning bags and restoring Belt and Buckle. In case anyone is wondering, I have decided to go forward with the production of the belts. Thank you, Ben

Buckle and Loop solution: Rivet Solution: My friend and I have gone through many, many buckles, loops, rivets and burning through plenty of $$$. This is the closest to the original parts that I could find.
UP NEXT: Bag Assembly
