I've found the perfect tool for removing those difficult shift linkage shaft seals. Rather than taking two frustrating hours and risking your seal seat with a chisel, pick or other device, try the Lisle 58430 Shaft in Seal Puller.
It worked very well for me. I bought one at Sears but they are available at most online tool vendors.

P8 & 8A - Piston Ring Clamps

P14 - Connecting Rod Gauge

P54 - Front Needle Bearing Removal Tool
