Hi Joris - Have been reading various posts about Hirschmann red tip antennas where your name appears as the Registry expert to consult.

Would you be able to confirm if the Hirschmann Auta 3105L red tip antenna and Auta 12C cable are correct for a 1956 356A? If not, could you advise the correct Hirschmann antenna and cable Auta numbers or even better, post photos of the antenna, cable, base, bracket and all other required component parts for a Porsche of that period? Lastly should there be a Hirschmann logo on the chrome base of a red tip?

I resonate with Jim, in that I believe that these antennas were never installed on a 356 from the factory. If you can give me the Hirschmann AUTA number I can likely tell you which cars the antenne is appropriate to.
Joris,
Here’s a trimmed

Hi Steve,

Antennas were pretty much always mentioned on the Kardex if the car got ordered with one. T6 B cars are a bit of an oddity as I have seen both Bosch and Hirschmann antennas factory installed on them.

Thanks for your clarification, Joris.

I was very fortunate to receive this ‘63 Super 90 coupe with all of its factory installed accessories in tact including the red-tipped Hirschmann, seatbelts, correct dated chromed wheels, head rests and luggage rack.

Hi Steve,

Please share a picture of the red tip, does it have a thick or thin base?

Joris,
As I recall, the original top was cracked so I replaced it a few years back but I remember it was a red tip.
