I have a set of blackened heads I'd like to get clean - carbon build up and all. I assume blasting is out of the question. Suggestions? Any approach that's more environmentally sensitive than carb dips (Berryman's et al)?
I tried to locate ultrasonic cleaning services in the SF Bay Area, but no success. Any suggestions there?
Thanks

Re: Cleaning blackened heads
Find someone in your area with a soda blast cabinet. Thats the best way to clean carbon from pistons and heads. The process will not damage anodized finishes, is not abrasive and cleans up with water.John Thiele wrote:I have a set of blackened heads I'd like to get clean - carbon build up and all.
