Another seat recliner question....

#1 Post by Jack Roberta »

The parts list shows that there are 2 white plastic spacers on each recliner where it attaches to the seat bottom. It seems that if I put 2 spacers on then the chrome washer with the square hole will not fit onto the post. Also is it the same for the drivers side and passengers side since the drivers side doesnt have the extra recliner parts?

Thanks

The washer is not supposed to slide over the post but stop
and lock at the end of the square. The reason this was done
is to lock the washer in place otherwise frequent back and
forthing of the seat back will loosen the bolt holding the
whole mess together. The plastic washers are there to fill
the space between the recliner and the seat bottom and keep
the recliner from sliding in too much. Usually it take more
than 2 washers.
