Wheels

#1 Post by Greg Erickson »

Looking to find 6" wide wheels for my coupe, I want to keep stock look, but would like an
light weight alloy that will fit drum brake bolt pattern. I know there was a "Tech" mag wheel
advertised in the Registry, but don't know if they are still available, or if they are 6". I have read in Duane Spencer's Performance Guide of using 6" Fuchs alloys, but how do you make them work with drum brakes?.. are there adapters available? Can anybody help?
Thanks, Greg

I'm currently running 6 X 15 Fuchs on my drum brake 63 Coupe. I originally purchased cast adapters from CB performance but had vibrations that just wouldn't go away. I removed those and purchased aluminium adapters machined from solid billett from 356 Specialties in Scottsdale AZ. More costly than the cast adapters but stronger, no vibrations and well worth the cost in my opinion. If you're interested, call Phil at 480-707-7007. He advertises in the registry magazine.

Christian,

It would be interesting to know the tire size your using?
