HELP 356B Cabrio top frame

#1 Post by Fernando Ronzoni »

Hi, Im looking for a soft top frame for my t5 cabrio.

Is the T5 frame same size as the T6?

There is any replica available in the market?

Where I can get an original one? Price?

Thanks!!!

Cab Top Frame

#2 Post by PaulLear »

Hi,

The T5 and T6 cab top frame are the same, and almost extinct, frames.
There has been an original one listed on Ric Marcus' site for some time:

Rumor has it he has non-original ones for sale which were made offshore.
This one came onto Ebay last week which I suspect is a "replica" frame.

Best of luck in your search.

Folding Top Frames

#3 Post by Mike Smith »

Fernando,

As I am sure you are finding out - Folding Top Frames have all but dried up but this is just to confirm that all Frames are the same from Mid 1957 (T2 onwards) through to 1965

I do have one, complete with its original covering - but shipping from the UK will probably exclude it as an option

If you manage to find one, make sure that it has the Tube that runs around the inside of the Cockpit and, more importantly that, it has the 2 x ends for this tube (the Chicken Wings)
