#1 Post by Marc Allingham »

Just stumbled across this eBay auction. Looks like the motherload of ???

Selling: Unique collection of parts for the Porsche 356 A, B, and C coupe like original engines, gearboxes, body panels, and complete bodies (A, B, and C type coupe).

The stock consist of numerous Porsche 356 parts. To give you an impression, the following items are part of the collection:

· Approximately 25 engines including cylinder heads & manifolds (disassembled)

· Drive train components like complete gearboxes, brake drums, torsion bars etc.

· 19 bodies for restoration, all A, B, and C models included (no roadster/speedster)

· Various body parts (panels, doors (also speed-&roadster!), hoods, windows)

· And many boxes of small parts.

On our website http://www.porsche356.nl you can find pictures and more information of most of the available items

This one really looks like he bought out a junk yard, there isn't a body there that has not been cut on. I hope he was able to sell off the good stuff, because what he has is not the good stuff.

The shipping costs from the Netherlands to Adam at Unobtanium or Jim at EASY would kill them. I wonder what, if anything, was held back in this sale. Adam has already looked it over, and he doesn't sound too excited... :(

I believe this is the third time it's been listed. The first time had a buy-it-now price of $175,000. That's a lot for a pig in a Dutch poke.

They were really eager to sell as a lot, think they have had it with people hanging around and asking questions.

All the good parts are long gone.

Peter-
There is nothing worse than the feeling like you arrived at the party just a little too late...
Or in this case, long after the good parts are gone.
