Door Gaps

#1 Post by Dave Menche »

got a question on the 356C Coupe door gaps.

What is the correct gap to aim for during restoration? Also what is the recommended trunk and deck lid gap, same as the doors? and the gasoline filler door, is that also the same gap?

thanks

Yes, from what I've seen and been told 3mm is good...but you might consider starting with them a little "fat" when in bare metal. By the time you build up sealer, primer, and finished paint, you've taken up some space. I am shooting for a tad under four and have been told it will work out right.
