A friend talked to him about that today. No word back yet. You are right, they are being reproduced but, by whom and, can they sell them outright or do they have agreements that prevent that?

Mike, I thought he was making them (coordinating production of the pieces) himself. Perhaps even doing final assembly. But I certainly could be mistaken. It was some time ago that I talked to him about it.

I'll keep you all posted on what I find out. In the meantime, I'm looking for alternatives.

I haven't been able to find the source of the gaskets. I tried using some weather stripping but wasn't able get a good bond of the ends or to the glass. I then tried black electricians' tape but you need about three wraps to get the right thickness. Then I had a brain fart and remembered rubberized tape. I bought some at Home Depot. It's Scotch brand, linerless rubber splicing tape, for "moisture sealing and insulating." It's black and comes in 3/4" width so you need to trim it a bit. 1/2" would be better. About $5.00 a roll.

Eric was contacted but ran into a dead end on obtaining the gaskets separately. Somebody has to be making/supplying them.

Gaskets now available, mid grey in coloration, also have black.

$20 a pair, and I'll have them first at the lit meet, sorry I'm packing right now and no time to ship. When I get back, same price plus shipping.
