Petronix ignition

#1 Post by Ken Daugherty »

I have a 050 distributor with an engine project. The distributor leads were disconnected from the coil and I would like to reconnect them properly so I can test the engine. There is a red lead and a black lead and the internal signal part of the distributor is marked 'Ignitor, Petronix'. What goes where?
I am a old fashioned kind of 356 guy and this new fangled stuff is new to me.

Ken;
The red goes on the hot side of the coil. Black instead of ground wire.

Ken,
The red goes to #15 on the coil.
The black goes to the distributor, #1.
