Since 2nd of January 1963, starting with
VIN 122 851 >>COUPE-REUTTER-
VIN 212 601 >>COUPE-KARMANN-
VIN 157 751 >>CABRIO
all cars got these new boxes
with the # 644.211.023.06 (left) and .....024.06 (right),
this was version #1,
later there was version #2:
# 644.211.023.07 (left) and ....024.07 (right)
One version was with a big hole at bottom,
the other version with louvers.
Which version was at first, hole or louvers ?
Once an engineer from Porsche told me, the production
was stopped by an estimator, because the production was
too costly, so...
at least, starting at 23rd of June 1964, the (cheaper) 3rd version
was installed, # 644.211.007.07 and ... 008.07 (right),
looking like a tube.
