Listers-
I have obtained a new hood pull cable for my Roadster from NLA. It is apparently universal for the engine lid and has the threaded section for knobs. Do I cut this off for the Roadster since it doesn't have a knob?

Roadster Hood Pull Cable
Ron,
Sounds like you have a keyed hood lock. The keyed hood lock
only uses the wire so cut off the end. Note that if the wire
is plastic coated, this is how the 911 are, and you must
remove the plastic coating at the end that the lock bites or
it might slip out in the future.
BTW it is not too bad an idea to add a second emergency
hood release wire that is a second wire that is placed
through a hole in the left side of the front trunk you can
grab to open the front trunk in case something goes wrong
with the release wire.

Which brings up a good point. As I recollect with all my BT6's, they came from the factory with an emergency hood release cable. My Karman coupe came with one that appeared to be an offwhite/beige colored clothes line. My D'Ieteren Roadster's was a bright neon green colored line.
In any case, there should be a line to provide for emergency release. The alternative is not pleasant.
