Hi Brian, yes I think you're right. Roy Mawbey has started a thread on this topic recently. Anyway, after a day's running around I'm now at 26 front, 28 rear - making little changes, one change at a time, to improve things.
Getting better by the day - full 4 wheel alignment booked in for Thursday.
Cheers
Dave

Re: Horrible Steering - edit FIXED
I'm having a issue with my 356. If left for a while the steering become stiff at slow speed and now as definite in the corners as I would like.
Recently I greased all of the pins, front suspension, topped up the oil in the ZF box then set the tyre pressures and the drive was a much better. However, I got back in the car on w/e and the steering was stiff when moving out of the garage. I will try to refresh the grease/oil in the ZF box but I didn't know that the box could be adjusted. Is that a technical document somewhere I can read?

Neil, there is an excellent description of the ZF box and how to adjust it in the factory workshop manual. You do have one don't you?
If I had known I would live this long I would have pushed the envelope a little harder.
