32 lbs per tire? Isn't 24 front / 28 rear closer to spec?

Hi Brian, yes I think you're right. Roy Mawbey has started a thread on this topic recently. Anyway, after a day's running around I'm now at 26 front, 28 rear - making little changes, one change at a time, to improve things.

Getting better by the day - full 4 wheel alignment booked in for Thursday.

Cheers

Dave

Just curious, where do you live, and who will do the 4x alignment?

If you put that much air in tires the steering gets squirrely as I recall.

Brian,

Australia

Alignment to be done by a chap in Brisbane who has done these cars before. Forget the company name, but probably too far from Nevada to matter too much :-)

All the best, Dave

I'm having a issue with my 356. If left for a while the steering become stiff at slow speed and now as definite in the corners as I would like.

Recently I greased all of the pins, front suspension, topped up the oil in the ZF box then set the tyre pressures and the drive was a much better. However, I got back in the car on w/e and the steering was stiff when moving out of the garage. I will try to refresh the grease/oil in the ZF box but I didn't know that the box could be adjusted. Is that a technical document somewhere I can read?

Neil, there is an excellent description of the ZF box and how to adjust it in the factory workshop manual. You do have one don't you?
