What did the previous owner do to my floor?

Here are some shots of my floor. It looks like the previous owner pop riveted in some angle iron, (or aluminum maybe). What are your thoughts? Just take it up to Klasse 356 and let them drop in new front pans? Just let it go until this winter? Just forget about it?
